Homewood College has an established careers, information, advice and guidance programme. Full details are outlined in our Careers Policy.

We are developing a 5 year programme of social students/PSHE which includes careers information and advice. Plans will be put on this website in due course.
Year 11 have a careers lesson once a week with Jac Mills.
Year 10 do an extended work placement in Year 10.
Years 7/8/9 are introduced to the world of work in a variety of contexts.

Mr. Archard oversees information, advice and guidance delivery in the school and is always interested to hear from members of the school community and local employers who would be willing to contribute to careers talks or skills workshops.
Jac Mills, an Independent Careers Adviser, visits the school every Friday to offer impartial advice through 1:1 Careers Guidance meetings and informally during the school day. Careers Guidance appointments offer students the opportunity to explore their ideas and options for the future and develop a personalised plan of action. Jac also supports students to visit further education and training providers, prepare and attend interviews and on-going transition support.

Due to the Raising of the Participation Age all you people in England are expected to remain in Education or Training until their 18th birthday.
